The new Rossoacoustic Disc 'n' Dots system is a straightforward, easily installed and visually appealing acoustics solution. Developed in collaboration with the Stuttgart-based design office ID AID (Sven von Boetticher), the system adds a further high-quality, simple alternative to the successful Rossoacoustic PAD systems, which have already been deployed in a number of international projects. The system features clear-cut geometric shapes and a range of appealing colours to help it blend in with the existing interior and, being so easy to install, it doesn't take long before a pleasant acoustic climate is achieved in the room.

Rossoacoustic is known for its flexible, acoustically effective solutions with a high standard of design. Rossoacoustic PADS were developed five years ago and have found their way into a large number of international architectural projects, where they ensure an outstanding acoustic room climate. The Disc 'n' Dots system, developed by ID AID (Sven von Boetticher), is new on the market. It is a "simpler", easy-to-install and economically attractive acoustics solution.

Disc 'n' Dots provides an interesting alternative when room acoustics is bottom of the list in the design process and an additive solution is required to achieve a good result. With their different thicknesses and shapes, Disc 'n' Dots create structures or loose groupings that are mounted on the wall or installed directly below the ceiling. One striking design feature is the round or square Dot, which bears the high-quality Rossoacoustic label and comes in a variety of colours. The rear of the Dot is used for simple "single-point mounting" on the wall or ceiling. If a hovering or sculptural effect is to be achieved, the Dot can also be used to suspend the acoustic elements from the ceiling.

The range of different colours is an important element in the design concept: whereas the Discs are available in a discreet white or grey, the Dots come in the appealing colours of the Rossoacoustic range: Vineyard, Soft Moss, Yellow Field, Far Mountain and Nightfall as well as in classic White, Grey Dawn or Black Ink. A wide variety can be achieved by colour-matching Disc 'n' Dots to Rossoacoustic PADs and combined light and acoustics solutions such as the Nimbus Group's innovative Lighting Pad and Lighting Pad Lounge. Furthermore, the Dot can be custom-painted to achieve perfect integration into a specific interior concept.

Commenting on the development, Dietrich F. Brennenstuhl, the Nimbus Group's Managing Director for Innovation and Design, said: "We are constantly being confronted with projects in which an effective room acoustics solution is required, but the budget is tight. That often leads to an unsatisfactory solution in terms of quality. Disc 'n' Dots helps us to fill this gap: we can provide high-quality acoustics, simple, time-saving installation and a broad colour concept. Our well-known design standard remains apparent in every aspect of this new product." The Nimbus Group and its Rossoacoustic brand are incorporated in the Häfele Group. Planners in the joinery trade and interior fit-out sector represent a particularly interesting target group for the Disc 'n' Dots system.
